 MISSION AND VISION OF THE FACULTY

Mission: the mission of this Faculty is the academic dedication and a commitment, based on profound ideas of citizenship and openness to Lithuania and the world, to educate an individual who is open to cultural values, and ready to use most innovative technologies, who is ready acquire, analyse, implement and introduce to society scientific knowledge and social values. Vision: the vision of this Faculty is to become internationally recognized centre for educating high quality professionals and for disseminating research results and innovations.

 MAIN AIMS OF THE FACULTY

MAIN AIMS of this Faculty, while educating an individual who is open to cultural values, and ready to use most innovative technologies, who is ready acquire, analyse, implement and introduce to society scientific knowledge and social values for the benefit of society and the state, are: To provide opportunities to acquire first and second cycle higher education and non-university education, based on research and adequate to the needs of stake-holders and the level of contemporary technologies. To educate highly professional state border guards and police enforcement officers as well as officers for other institutions. To develop applied research, in order to ensure the unity of research and studies. To provide opportunities for professional development of state border guards and police.enforcement officers. Based on cooperation with other departments of university, to ensure high quality of studies, opportunities for students to participate in mobility programmes, to introduce contemporary educational technologies, to foster development of students’ competencies. To provide opportunities for continuous education, also for professional development within a chosen qualification, or to change qualification. To enhance education for wider society in the field of law, to consult citizens and institutions on legal issues. To implement strategic goals of university.
