Personal profile

I am a lawyer from the Republic of Lithuania currently working as a lecturer and completing PhD studies in the law degree program at the Law School of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania).

Estimated end of my doctoral studies is 2018/2019 academic year (until June 2019). The final text of the dissertation was successfully finished, reviewed and officially approved by the Institute of International and EU law of the Law School of Mykolas Romeris University at 15'th of November, 2018.

My main research and academic interests focuses on international economic and trade law as well as customs and tax law of the EU although my wide practical professional experience is also closely related to the other fields of law, especially national administrative law

  • My duties and responsibilities at the Mykolas Romeris University include the following aspects:
  • Conducting of lectures and seminars for the University's students, studying in economics and law programmes in Lithuanian and English (teaching subjects on national and EU tax, customs and finance law: "Customs law and procedures", "Customs policy and taxes in the European Union"; "Taxes and tax disputes"; "Tax law," "Tariff classification, customs origin and value of goods" and etc.);
  • Preparation of methodical material for studies, counselling of students, supervision of preparation of the bachelors theses, professional practices, participation in examinations and etc.;
  • Being a member of Financial Management Master`s Degree Study Programme Committee and Accounting Bachelor Degree Study Programme Committee, since 2016; Mykolas Romeris University, Faculty of Economics and Finance Management, since 2015 and Mykolas Romeris University Security Laboratory, since 2015;
  • Preparation of the PhD dissertation: "Problems of legal regulation of customs duties in the international trade between the European Union and Russia, India and China" (supervisor – Prof. Dr. Saulius Katuoka), estimated end of doctoral studies: October 2018;
