A new study model of criminalistics for the law enforcement officers in Lithuania

Abstract

Basing on the experience of higher education institutions in different countries, as well as considering the results of the survey on the level and demand of the criminalistics knowledge of the law enforcement officers, the major changes of the study structure and didactics are analyzed in the article.
The authors provide with the original model of criminalistics subject, taught at the higher education institutions, which is oriented to the advanced tendencies, owing to the fact that the speedy and intense development of natural, technical and social sciences, the globalization of the new technologies and information processes calls for innovative thinking and people who are able to install interdisciplinary achievements into the activities of law enforcement institutions.
