Information literacy dimension seeking learning quality in university education

The paper discusses information literacy conception and interrelations between information literacy and learning efficiency at university, which is experiencing impact of such processes as a constant change, increase in university population and wider application of technologies for the study process. Information literacy is considered as students’ empowering factor that also impacts the culture of university education. The research findings obtained during the educational experiment conducted in 2005— 2006 revealed variations in students’ conception of information literacy and good mastery of knowledge and skills.
